In normal applications, the working fluid of the water ring vacuum pump is mostly discharged directly. This water supply and drainage method will cause a lot of waste of water resources, and there are also the following shortcomings:
*Because the pumped gas is mixed with the working fluid when the water ring pump is pumping gas, the discharged water will contain some organic solvents and toxic substances. Due to the large amount of water discharge, the discharge of water causes great pressure on environmental protection.
* Water containing organic solvents and toxic substances will release harmful gases, which will increase environmental pollution, and the extracted organic solvents are not easy to recycle and are wasted.
In view of the above problems, more and more companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical, electronic and general industries have adopted the closed-circuit mode of the working fluid of the water-ring vacuum pump.
2BL series liquid ring vacuum pumps are integrated vacuum pumps with closed loop systems developed and produced to meet this demand.
The most basic 2BL series liquid ring vacuum pump closed circuit system is shown in the figure:

The pumped gas enters the liquid ring vacuum pump from the suction port, and enters the gas-liquid separator together with part of the working fluid after being compressed by the liquid ring vacuum pump. The gas-liquid two phases are separated in the separator, and the gas is discharged to the air cooler. The heat exchanger is sucked in by the vacuum pump for recycling. The liquid ring pump will generate heat during the working process. The main heat includes: the ineffective power of the vacuum pump; the heat caused by the higher temperature of the suction gas; the suction gas contains condensable gas and releases phase change heat during the compression process. The main function of the heat exchanger is to cool the working fluid through cooling water to keep the temperature of the working fluid within a reasonable range. The gas discharged from the separator is high in temperature and contains water vapor. After being cooled by the air cooler at the exhaust port, the gas is discharged and the water vapor is condensed into the water circulation system for reuse. In this way, the vacuum pump only needs to consume very little working water to maintain normal operation.
